The ideal InkBlot board member is an individual with diverse experience, background, and beliefs. They should be willing to contribute their thoughts and actions to the success of InkBlot and its worldwide community.

We believe that our board should represent the creative community and creators we serve. This includes people of color, people from working-class backgrounds, and LGBTQ+ people. We believe that these communities should be at the center of our work. Therefore, we strongly encourage applications from individuals with these identities or who belong to other marginalized communities.

We place great importance on the quality of our board members. Consequently, we have implemented an extensive board recruitment process. This process involves submitting an application, an interview with our CEO, an interview with senior volunteers and staff, a background check, and a 6-month interimship.

This process typically takes between 8-12 months. While it may seem lengthy, it is crucial for selecting highly effective board members who can contribute to our current initiatives and operations.
